MedScript Gold covers formulary generic drugs. Generic drugs make up over half of all prescriptions today. All generic drugs are approved by the FDA and provide the same clinical efficacy as the more expensive brand name alternatives.

MedScript Platinum covers formulary generic drugs, as well as some of today’s most highly utilized brand name drugs.

Plans at a Glance

• Employee co-payments will never be more than $10.00 per 30-day supply of formulary generics.
• A 90-day supply of drugs through the Mail Order Pharmacy will have two (2) co-payments (certain generic drugs at mail order will be offered for only $10.00)
• Brand coverage of MedScript formulary drugs will be 50% off the cost of the prescription up to a maximum benefit of $2,000 per person, per year.
• Generic MedScript formulary has broad coverage.
• Employers may choose formulary generic coverage by itself or in combination with a Brand wrap around if desired.

Mail Order Pharmacy

LDI MedScript’s mail order program is ideal for formulary maintenance medications – prescriptions employees take on a regular basis to manage conditions like arthritis, high blood pressure, asthma, or diabetes.

By using your mail order pharmacy benefit, employees may save time by eliminating trips to the pharmacy and avoiding waiting in line.

LDI MedScript’s mail service pharmacy may also save employees money. Depending on the type of benefits the plan offers, the mail service co-pays may be lower than those at local pharmacies for the same medications in the same quantity.

MedScript’s $10.00 co-pay for a 90 day supply of certain formulary medications may provide significant savings. At $10.00, the employee cost - as compared to the normal two co pays - may be reduced even further.
