MedScript’s two plan designs have been developed to cover the top therapeutic categories utilized by employees and plan members.

• MedScript Gold covers formulary generic drugs. Generic drugs make up over half of all prescriptions today. All generic drugs are approved by the FDA and provide the same clinical efficacy as the more expensive brand name alternatives.
• MedScript Platinum covers formulary generic drugs, as well as some of today’s most highly utilized brand name drugs.

Low Co-Payments

Under MedScript Gold and MedScript Platinum, employee co-payments for a 30-day supply of covered generic drugs will never be more than $10.

Under the MedScript Platinum, members only have to pay 50% co-insurance for a 30-day supply up to a maximum benefit of $2,000 per person, per year, of covered Brand Name drugs at a retail pharmacy.

Under both plans, a 90-day supply of covered generic drugs at Mail order will never be more than $20.

Nationwide Access through 54,000 Pharmacies

MedScript is easy to understand and use. With MedScript, employees get their own prescription drug card. They just take their card to the participating pharmacy, pay their co-payment, and pick up their prescriptions. It’s that simple. When using an In-Network Pharmacy, there are no complicated claim forms or deductibles to figure out. Plus, a large network of more than 54,000 pharmacies nationwide accepts the MedScript card, including most chain and independent drug stores. (If an out-of-Network pharmacy is used, manual claim forms will need to be completed.)

Mail Order Pharmacy

Because of the partnership with LDI MedScript, employees are given access to their Mail Order Pharmacy.

LDI MedScript offers a convenient mail order program that delivers medication directly to member’s doorsteps.

LDI MedScript’s mail order program is ideal for formulary maintenance medications – prescriptions taken on a regular basis to manage conditions like arthritis, high blood pressure, asthma, or diabetes. But members can use mail order for 30-day supplies too.

Keep in mind that MedScript’s $10.00 co-pay for a 90-day supply of certain formulary medications may provide significant savings. At $10.00, the employee’s cost - as compared to the normal two co-pays is reduced even further.

In addition, MedScript is fully insured by Fidelity Security Life Insurance Company, so you can be sure that when employers choose MedScript, they are making the safe choice.

Savings on Non-Covered Drugs (not an insurance plan)

With the MedScript card, employees save even when drugs are not covered by the insurance plan. All 54,000+ participating pharmacies extend discounts between 14% and 50% off retail price when employees are paying for medicines out of pocket.
